Mary Peppard’s creative process in photography is a combination of realism with “soft edges”. She uses her digital photography as the “underpainting” in her art form, whether it is a commercial shoot or a natural light portrait setting. Mary is Program Chair of the Nanaimo Harbour City Photography Club for 2004/05, a member for three years in the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA). She recently attended the Canadian Camera Conference 2004 where she was inspired by the work of several leading Canadian portrait photographers specializing in digital portraiture.
